This single family residence is sited on the top of a ridge in Yonkers, New York overseeing far into the mountainside at the rear of the property. From its minimalistic interior walls, two-story cathedral ceilings, frameless windows at the dinette area, circular architectural stairs, and movement of the walls and ceilings, this home is aesthetically unique both on the inside and outside. Interior Remodeling - Ridgewood, NJ

This residence, located on a family-oriented and eclectic neighborhood, posed a challenge to our firm because we had to maintain the original style and appearance of the home.  We enclosed an existing covered porch and designed a rear one-story addition while still maintaining the original function of the building.  We remodeled the kitchen, added a mud room and powder room, and opened up several interior walls to achieve a new free flowing layout, which extended to the rest of the house.

Addition & Remodeling - Ardsley, NY

Our firm was commissioned by our client to remodel and extend the first floor of this residence and design a full second-story addition.  We completely moved the kitchen from the front of the house to the rear and integrated it with the new family room extension to create a new open floor layout and a better flow for the entire first story.  We removed and enlarged the stairs to the second floor, re-designed the existing three bedrooms, and added a full master suite.  Our main goal for this project was to retain some of the characteristics of the original house, such as the stone at the front entrance façade and the aesthetic qualities of the siding, in order to maintain the integrity of the house within the fabric of the neighborhood.

This new single family Mediterranean-style residence was custom designed for an Italian family on a 2-acre lot adjacent to a golf course.  The exterior stucco finish, beautiful clay tile roof, classical fenestration, exterior porches and balconies adorned with arched openings and decorative iron railings, double circular front stairs in stone (later adorned with beautiful decorative metal railings), and exterior color schemes all contribute to the overall country house feeling of this residence as if it were sitting on a Tuscan hillside.

 Basement Remodeling - Ardsley, NY

The lower level of this residence was constructed with a bi-level open floor plan concept in mind, consisting of a mezzanine, sub-level, and even a lower level that walks out to a beautiful rear Japanese garden. With this in mind, we designed an architectural centerpiece – a see-through fireplace visible from the sub-floor, the lower floor areas as well as from the mezzanine.

The mezzanine level was designed as a sanctuary for the homeowners to concentrate, play, and compose music. The modern furnished sub-level was designed as the living space where everyone gathers to watch movies and listen to music while enjoying the warmth and beauty of the fireplace. The lower level is accessible from both sides of the central fireplace by architecturally arched stairs, making this level both a recreational room and s library with 15-foot-high ceilings.

Project budget: $ 175,000
